Infants learn by experiencing with their senses, using movement and the language that they are learning, and interacting socially and emotionally with their co-facilitators, we provide appropriate toys, ample space, activities according to their ages, and caring attention.

In this stage they acquire important skills to help them gain independence, such as going to the toilet, feeding, and dressing. We work together with the parents in providing encouragement and support for every step in their learning process.

Our program emphasizes language, physical movement, and the acquisition of social, emotional, and cognitive skills. We continuously evaluate every child individually and, based on his/her needs, we plan activities based on their curiosity that helps him/her to develop physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

We maintain several learning aids, such as puzzles, table games, books, arts and crafts, and outdoor games to provide a variety of fun, creative activities of their own choosing

We seek cultural programs to work with us in exposing our children to the rich Hispanic heritage through dance, music, puppet theater, storytelling, Circulo de la Lectura, Circulo de Paz, poetry, arts, and crafts. Also during summer, we create a special program that includes educational and fun field trips.

The children take care of their own huerto year-round on a weekly basis. Children are an integral part of Tierra es Vida Community Farm, as caretakers of the land and curious minds in search of what lesson Mother Nature has to offer.
